This privacy information explains how Mobility Engineer Finder handles your information. For questions, corrections or requests about your information, email mobilityengineerfinder@gmail.com.

Using the finder

Your answers are sent to our site to prepare repairer suggestions. The application does not save these searches in its database or send them to repair businesses. Answers remain on the page while you use it. You do not need to enter your name, email or telephone number.

Only the postcode is sent to Postcodes.io to check its location. Your equipment, fault and urgency are not sent to that service. Please do not enter medical details or other private information in the make/model field.

Contacting us and business listings

If you email us, we use your address and message to reply, check a listing or handle your request. Public business information may be used in a directory listing. We keep necessary correspondence while an enquiry or listing correction is being handled and reviewed; there is currently no automatic email deletion schedule. You can ask us to correct or remove your personal information using the address above.

Anonymous usage totals

To improve the finder, we count page views, searches started and completed, searches with no results, and clicks on repairer website and phone links. We store only a daily total, the type of action and, where relevant, a public page or repairer identifier. We do not store individual event logs, visitor identifiers, IP addresses, referrers, full postcodes, equipment details, make/model or fault descriptions in these statistics. Totals are not unique visitor counts or confirmed bookings.

You can turn these counts off using the control below any page. We remember that choice in this browser’s local storage until you change it or clear browser data. This preference is not a visitor identifier. We also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Only the site owner can view totals; recognised owner activity and marked tests are excluded from public totals. Daily totals older than 90 days are removed when the next event is processed.

Hosting, cookies and adverts

The site is hosted using OpenAI Sites. Hosting and connected service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure their services. Platform authentication may use necessary cookies.

We use the aggregate counts explained above. We have not added Google Analytics, remarketing or session-replay scripts. We have applied to Google AdSense and published an ownership verification tag and an authorised advertising seller record. These records do not themselves display ads or set advertising cookies. AdSense review is pending and no advertising script is running at present.

Planned Google advertising

If advertising is approved and enabled, third-party vendors including Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and information about visits to this and other websites to deliver, personalise and measure ads and prevent fraud. Google and its partners may process information such as an IP address, browser details and ad interactions. Our anonymous-counts control does not control Google advertising.

Before enabling advertising, we will make Google's consent message available with Consent, Do not consent and Manage options choices, and a way to revisit those choices. The message will identify participating partners and their purposes. You can also manage personalised advertising in Google My Ad Center and read how Google uses information from partner sites. The advertising activation date and live controls will be reflected here when the setup is complete.

Earlier private tests

Fictional enquiries saved during development remain in a separate, signed-in test archive. The archive only returns records associated with that user’s sign-in. New test saving is disabled and the directory does not accept customer enquiries for referral. Contact us about removal of a historical test record.

Contacting repairers

Provider links open the business’s own website, with its own privacy practices. Calling a published number contacts that business directly. We do not record calls or receive the information you give the repairer.
